Still trying to catch up on my journal of events . . . . Oct 17th - At Sea - Warm and Sunny, calm sea Exhausted from our long day yesterday in Seoul.  Went back to bed after breakfast and slept til lunch, After lunch, we went to shoot baskets - met Robert again.  He helped me clear the Pickleball players from the court - they were in the basketball time slot!  ha ha I sank about 14 shots right away, but not in a row.  It was fun.  But, we had to say goodbye to Robert and his wife, Karen who were getting off the ship in Shanghai tomorrow.  They are staying there 4 days to visit Walt Disney World.  They have visited every one of the Disney parks in the world, with Japan being their favorite,  I told you he was FUN!  He loved my Mickey ring, and promised Karen he would get her one!   Formal Night tonight - wore my 18-year-old wedding dress and still got lots of compliments.  Had delicious Veal Cordon Bleu for dinner with...

Ninth Post - 10/12 to 10/16

Continuing on . . . . October 12, Friday - At Sea After showers and dressing, we changed the sign on our cabin door to CHINA! We went to a Thai Chi class - very crowded. Our dinner companions, Lloyd and Danette were also there - Dan and Danette were good at this.  I stopped after about 4 minutes - too much standing in one position for too long.  Lloyd stopped shortly after I did,  Dan's knees hurt for the rest of the day! We did some window shopping in ship's stores; had an ice cream; watched the Eagles beat the Giants on the giant pool screen, and I took a nap.  Dan did laundry and I watched "An Affair to Remember" with Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr" - Now THAT'S a Hallmark Movie ending!!!  Lloyd and Danette went to another venue for dinner, so we had Freddy and Michael all to ourselves.  The show was a tenor trio called "Tres Amicis" - very operatic and LOUD! October 13, Saturday at CALM sea, with cool air We are in the Yellow Sea righ...

hi again - Picking up on October 4th. Oct 4 - calmer seas, sunny and warm weather in the 60's - At Sea I am still suffering from the head cold but improving each day,  We went to breakfast at 6:15 am - everyone is confused by having the sunrise at 5:15 am - we think it is later than it really is.  Went back to bed!!! At lunch we sat and talked to a couple, Barbara (from Naples Fl) and John (from London, Eng.) who were so interesting.  They are more World Travelers, and this will be their 4th visit to China.  We had such a good time talking to them. Next, we went to the Internet Cafe but could not log into e-mail.  Had trouble getting on today also, but finally got it to work.  Everyone gives me advice on how to get more time on the internet, but I am not able to get their systems to work for me.  Am I getting too Old for this technology????? Dan went to another gathering of Veterans and learned about a new program the VA has for Long-Term C...

Sixth Post - 9/30 to 10/4/18

Hi again - - Lots has happened in the past few days - so here goes! I have come down with a terrible head cold.  Sneezing, coughing, runny nose and sore throat.  Went to Medical, only to be told what I already knew - they can't do anything for a cold.  Take Nyquil, Robituson, or Tylenol and drink plenty of fluids and get plenty of rest.  Ok, doing that and now, on the 4th day, I do feel better. Now - day by day 9/30/18 - still rough seas but some sun - finally.  Had breakfast and went to an interdenominational Sunday service led by a woman passenger.  We sang "How Great Thou Art", and "Amazing Grace" and she then preached on the Importance of Faith.  We did not say any prayers or sing a closing hymn, it just ended abruptly.  Not inspiring at all. We stopped at the shore excursion desk and booked 3 tours for Vietnam.  Then went to the Explorer Lounge to watch the Giants lose to the Saints.  The winners in our group were very gr...
